On September 11, HEI and Tianjin China Energy Panshan Power Generation Co., Ltd. (TCEPPGCL) formally signed the innovation and upgrading project.

TCEPPGCL's innovation and upgrading project is the first set of significant technical equipment demonstration project in the national energy field jointly declared by Harbin Electric Corporation and China Energy which approved by the National Energy Administration. The project applies many advanced technologies of Harbin Electric Corporation for reformation of coal fired power plant, which is an international pioneer without similar reformation reference worldwide.
