• Sudan   In 2001, HEI contracted and built its first power station project in Sudan: the Sudan Gaili Power Station General Contracting Project. This was the first time that a large power station was constructed in Africa by a Chinese company. In 2003, HEI contracted and built the Sudan Merowe Transmission and Transformation Project, the longest line with largest contractual value ever built by a Chinese company in the overseas market.   At present, the Sudan electric power market is one of the markets where our company enjoys the widest range of business services. • Pakistan   In 1983, HEI’s first overseas project, the Pakistan Guddu Power Station, realized our goal to push domestic power equipment into the international market. In 1996, the Pakistan UCH Power Plant Project represented the first time that HE had worked jointly with a world-renowned foreign company on an international project.   The Pakistani electric power market was one of the first markets that HEI entered into, and it is also the market where HEI contracts and builds the greatest number of power plants. • India   In 2010, HEI’s supply contract for 8 sets of 600MW units in India, the largest single export in HE’s history, expanded our 600MW unit market share. In 2011, HEI built and successfully synchronized the No. 1 unit of India SALAYA 2×600MW coal-fired power plant. This was the first successfully synchronization of a 600MW unit exported from China. • China   Since HEI was founded, it has undertaken EPC contracts and supplied equipment to 22 power plant projects in China. • Vietnam   In 1993, HEI contracted and built its first power station in Vietnam: the Vietnam Hiep Phuoc 3×125MW Power Plant. Since that time, the company has managed to successfully establish itself in the Vietnamese electric power market, having undertaken a number of hydropower and thermal power projects, and supplied spare parts in the country. • Ecuador   In 2011, HEI signed a contract to undertake the Ecuador Esmeraldas Phase II 12×8MW Diesel heating and power plant project, which represented our breakthrough into the South American power market.
