At the end of 2010, HEI was in receipt of the Letter of Thanks from the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, extending heartfelt thanks and tribute for the donation of RMB 200,000 for the flood affected area in Pakistan.
During the last ten days of July, 2010, Pakistan as attacked by storms time and again, resulting in flooding in many areas in the country, one thousand plus casualties, and millions of people left homeless, this had a huge impact on the Pakistan economy, society and people’s livelihood.
HEI developed a deep-rooted friendship with the Pakistani people and maintain that close tie. We have contracted and built the Malakand Hydropower Station, the Bin Qasim and other power plants. The unprecedented flood in Pakistan worries the company staff a lot, and we follow the flood status, hoping to overcome this difficult period together with the Pakistani.
A friend in need is a friend indeed, as the saying goes. As a key enterprise of large-scale equipment sets for power generation, an exporter and EPC contractor of power plants, we resolutely shoulder the social responsibility of helping those people affected by the flood in Pakistan to overcome this disaster and reconstruct their homeland. We, in active response to the request of making a donation to flood-affected areas by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, donated RMB 200,000 to provide emergency relief to homeless victims. Such kindness further establishes the good image of Chinese companies in Pakistan, and makes a favorable contribution to increasing the mutual understanding and friendship between the people of both countries, promoting the sound cooperation ties that both countries enjoy. At the same time, this helps enhance the cooperation between Chinese companies and the Pakistani Government, which creates a good social environment for the company itself.
