From September 22 to 24, Enlit Asia 2026 was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Harbin Electric International (HEI) took part together with three subsidiaries of Harbin Electric Corporation: Harbin Boiler Company Limited, Harbin Turbine Company Limited, and Harbin Electric Machinery Company Limited. Together, they presented the combined strength of a leading Chinese power equipment manufacturer.

During the exhibition, HEI drew on the synergies of its full industrial chain to showcase its core capabilities: power equipment R&D and manufacturing, smart energy system integration, and full-lifecycle O&M for power plants. It promoted integrated power and energy solutions that are high-quality, efficient, and green. This cluster-based approach to going global is intended to help China’s power equipment industry deepen its presence in the Southeast Asian market and broaden the scope for regional cooperation.

Drawing on its extensive experience in Indonesia, including the Banten 670 MW Supercritical Coal-fired Power Plant Project, the Tarakan 2×150 MW Biomass Coupled Self-Provided Power Plant Project, and the Paiton 660 MW Subcritical Coal-fired Power Plant Project, Harbin Electric International has steadily strengthened its brand influence and market recognition in the Southeast Asian power and energy market. At the exhibition, the HEI booth drew large crowds, with lively inquiries and business discussions throughout. Visitors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other Southeast Asian countries came in a steady stream. They represented leading power utilities, EPC contractors, power equipment manufacturers, engineering design and consulting firms, and authoritative industry organizations.

In their discussions on site, visitors from China and abroad spoke highly of Harbin Electric Corporation’s leading technological strengths and end-to-end service capabilities in large power plant main equipment, small and medium-sized gas turbine manufacturing, and smart plant O&M. The parties held in-depth exchanges on cooperation models, equipment supply, and localized services, and reached preliminary consensus on cooperation. This lays a foundation for turning that cooperation into concrete projects and building long-term partnerships.

Going forward, HEI will uphold the principles of openness and win-win cooperation and continue to deepen practical collaboration with energy partners in Southeast Asia and around the world. Together, they will build a new ecosystem for global energy development that is clean, efficient, safe, and reliable, and write a new chapter in the overseas expansion of Chinese power equipment manufacturers.
