HEI has recently completed its technical guidance task for the annual intermediate overhaul of the Angren 1 × 150 MW Coal-Fired Power Plant in Uzbekistan. The unit successfully reconnected to the grid and resumed power generation on October 5, providing a firm foundation for safe, stable, full-load operation during the local winter heating season.

Completed by HEI in 2016, Angren Power Plant is a key power project in Uzbekistan. It has operated safely and reliably for ten years and serves as a major regional power supply hub. All of the unit’s main equipment was independently developed and manufactured by Harbin Electric Corporation (HEC). From equipment supply to construction, the project was entirely “Made in China” and “Built by China.” It has long provided essential support for local industrial production, electricity and heating for residents, and heat supply for oil refining operations. The owner carried out this overhaul, while HEI provided comprehensive technical guidance covering the boiler, steam turbine, generator, and other main equipment. Particular attention was given to specialized inspections of boiler pressure parts and furnace expansion, as well as comprehensive checks and routine maintenance of key auxiliary equipment, including bottom ash coolers and electrostatic precipitators. HEI and the three major equipment manufacturers of HEC supplied complete sets of spare parts for this intermediate overhaul.

During the technical guidance service, HEI fully coordinated the Group’s high-quality internal resources and leveraged the core advantages of its integrated industrial chain. Drawing on extensive equipment manufacturing experience and practical expertise in overseas operations and maintenance (O&M), HEI accurately assessed specific issues affecting unit operation, developed tailored solutions, standardized on-site work procedures, and identified potential risks during maintenance. The team completed boiler waterwall tube repairs, O&M work on the steam turbine’s digital electrohydraulic (DEH) control system, and replacement of the generator excitation regulator to a high standard, comprehensively improving the unit’s operating condition. Through the concerted efforts of all personnel, the technical guidance tasks for Angren Power Plant's intermediate overhaul were completed on October 5, and the unit successfully reconnected to the grid. Alongside this technical guidance service, HEI's technical team developed a dedicated technical plan for the owner’s subsequent major overhaul based on actual on-site maintenance conditions. The plan specified future maintenance schedules, priorities for identifying potential risks, and a spare parts inventory list, providing professional support for the project's long-term safe operation and maintenance.

As a leading company in the international expansion of China’s power equipment industry, HEI remains committed to providing services throughout the full project life cycle and actively implements the Group’s development strategy of serving as an equipment manufacturer, systems integrator, and O&M service provider. The successful completion of the technical guidance task for Angren Power Plant’s intermediate overhaul demonstrates HEC’s ability to integrate internal resources, combine complementary strengths, and coordinate across the industrial chain. With the owner’s needs at the center of its work, HEI drew on the Group’s comprehensive industrial capabilities to provide a full range of one-stop services, including complete spare parts supply, on-site technical guidance, and customized O&M plans, effectively improving the quality of project operations and maintenance.

Looking ahead, HEI will continue to expand its presence in the global energy services market, strengthen its technical capabilities, improve service quality, and refine its O&M system spanning the entire industrial chain. It will further expand its overseas power O&M services, drawing on Harbin Electric’s technical and industrial strengths to support secure and stable energy supplies and green, low-carbon, high-quality development in countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
